About us
And what we stand for
Professor Bob Thomson

Bob was formerly leadership development manager at National Grid Transco and has been a Professor at Warwick Business School since 2013.
Originally an economist he has over 30 years experience of helping leaders learn about themselves, what they stand for, and how they will lead authentically, ethically and sustainably.
He has over 20 years experience as a coach and has been a supervisor of coaching for the last 10 years. He is accredited as a coach and as a supervisor by the European Mentoring and Coaching Council.
He established the University of Warwick’s Certificate and Diploma in Coaching and leads the Warwick Business school LeadershipPlus module for the full time MBA.
He has delivered a series of webinars on The Essentials of Supervision for the EMCC. He also acts as an internal mediator.
Bob has written a number of books on coaching and management. His latest books are Coaching from A to Z and Back Again, and Management from A to Z and Back Again. He is the editor of a series of books on mental health and wellbeing in the workplace, Business in Mind published by Critical Publishing.
“My approach to coaching and supervision is primarily non-directive.
I aim to create a relationship of rapport and trust with each client that enables them to reflect, to clarify what matters, and to decide what to do to achieve their aspirations.
I also bring my self to these encounters, and will share my thoughts and intuitions when this feels appropriate.”
